How it works

The VUS-300 converts electrical energy into mechanical vibration at 55.5 kHz. The blade vibrates with an amplitude of 50–100 µm, breaking hydrogen bonds in protein and denaturing tissue without passing current through the patient. The result is a clean cut with a haemostatic effect and far less charring than monopolar electrosurgery.

Because there is no electrical current through the body, the VUS-300 is suitable for patients with pacemakers and for procedures close to delicate structures. The generator is supplied with six tip profiles so one console covers dissection, biopsy, haemostasis and cavity work.
