How it works

The VAV-500 is intended for ventilatory support during anesthesia and for post-operative or critical care. A turbine blower generates flow without a central air supply, which makes the unit suitable for clinics without piped gas and for patient transport between rooms.

Ventilation is configured by patient weight, and the device proposes tidal volume and rate ranges that the clinician can adjust. Loop and waveform displays update in real time, and a full alarm set covers apnea, high airway pressure, low minute volume and oxygen supply failure.
